I heard that Graphics Gale is good, but the latest tutorials that appear are like 1-5 years old, and I wonder if Graphics gale is updated or not. I tried the demo/trial for Aseprite, and while I found it very good, Aseprite seems a little bit expensive to me (for the moment). I hear some people say that Gimp (a free Photoshop alternative) is good, while others say the contrary (for pixel art) because its complicated. I already tried with Krita, however, I found it complicated for pixel art (and I'm not even good with normal art). I already tried with Piskel, but when I export it (to zip and png), the quality decreases (the pixel art is very small to the point where I can't almost see it, and it gets blurry if I make it bigger). I would also like if the program has a big and/or supportive community. I want a pixel art program that is easy, functional, and good, while not spending money at the same time. Obviously start with the simple stuff, then move to more complex stuff.
